at The Residence at St. Peter's
The Residence at St. Peter’s is more than just a place to live – it’s a true community where residents thrive. We offer a range of amenities including three delicious meals a day, daily housekeeping, and medication management. Our communal living environment helps prevent isolation by encouraging socialization and connection, which is essential for emotional well-being.
Unlike a traditional apartment setting where individuals may spend much of their time alone, The Residence fosters a warm and inclusive community where friendships flourish. We eat, socialize, and relax together in shared spaces like our sun porch, library, and deck, creating a familial atmosphere. Residents benefit from a supportive environment where we look out for one another. In our small community, we get to know each other deeply – understanding each other’s likes, dislikes, hobbies, and even daily routines. Here, you’ll find privacy when you want it and companionship when you need it most.
We welcome residents with a range of disabilities, including cognitive impairments, autism, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injury. The key requirement is that individuals are capable of living independently with support. For example, a person with a traumatic brain injury must be able to self-evacuate, provide basic care for themselves, and be willing to live in a group setting. Our team is experienced in supporting residents with varying needs while encouraging independence and community involvement.
While we strive to be as inclusive as possible, we are unable to accommodate individuals who cannot self-evacuate both physically and mentally, or those who require the use of a wheelchair. All residents must be mobile and able to perform basic self-care tasks, such as showering and dressing.
We do not impose a strict age limit; however, most of our residents in disability care are aged 40 and above. As a senior living community, we specialize in caring for older adults, but we welcome individuals who meet our criteria and are comfortable living in our environment.
Yes, we have experience caring for residents with various cognitive delays and autism. Individuals with mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression, who are self-aware, have an established care plan, and have external support systems (like family or a social worker), will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where all residents can feel safe and comfortable.
At this time, we only accept private pay.
Currently, we do not have any special payment programs for veterans, but we will update this section if anything changes.
